Moscow stated that the death of Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah could result in serious destabilization across the region. Kremlin Spokesperson Dimitri Peskov expressed concern that the attacks could lead to a humanitarian disaster similar to what happened in Gaza.
Russia made a statement regarding the death of Hezbollah Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah.
Peskov condemned the killing of the Hezbollah leader in an Israeli airstrike last week. He warned that Nasrallah’s death could cause serious destabilization across the region.
Peskov pointed out that the bombing of residential areas in Lebanon had resulted in significant loss of life. Stressing that the attacks could lead to a humanitarian disaster similar to Gaza, he also commented on a report by Reuters stating that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards primarily used locally produced, Russian, and Chinese communication devices. Peskov noted that the trade relations between Russia and Iran have been advancing. A security official from Iran informed Reuters that after the recent attacks on Hezbollah’s paging devices and radios, they were concerned about Israeli agents infiltrating the country. The official mentioned that a comprehensive operation was carried out to examine all communication devices used by the Revolutionary Guards.
