The President of the Defense Industry, Görgün, addressed allegations against Baykar for collaborating with Israel, stating that “These provocations are part of the efforts to discredit the global success of our defense industry.”

Haluk Görgün, the President of Defense Industry Presidency, highlighted on his social media account that Baykar is a symbol of success in Turkish defense industry. Görgün pointed out that unfounded allegations have been brought up, such as accusing Baykar of collaborating with Israel due to a sponsorship at an international fair, which is one of the pride sources of the defense industry. He said, “Such provocations are part of the efforts to discredit the global success of our defense industry.

Conducted by ignoring the facts, these ugly campaigns cannot harm our national goals or shake the determination of our nation.” Görgün pointed out that the defense industry is a sector with high global competitiveness that provides more than 230 strategic products to 185 countries. He emphasized that the technology and platforms produced contribute to the defense forces of friendly and allied countries worldwide. Görgün reported that Turkey demonstrated its strength once again at the ADEX 2024 Fair with a high participation, indicating that out of 210 companies attending the fair, 50 were Turkish, demonstrating Turkey’s global leadership in the defense industry. “OUR NATION WILL NOT HEED SUCH PROVOCATIVE ATTACKS”

Görgün highlighted that the cooperation in the defense field with Azerbaijan continues rapidly, stating, “Many of our companies have started joint production processes with Azerbaijan, and these strong bonds of brotherhood are clearly manifested in the defense industry. Many agreements signed during the ADEX Fair prove that the two countries are deepening cooperation in the defense field.

Turkey and Azerbaijan aim for greater success in the defense field, and our joint projects and collaborations are increasing day by day in a manner befitting the brotherhood of the two countries. Turkey has proven its strength in all fields on the independent defense industry path. This success is not only a company’s but the common success of our nation. Undoubtedly, our esteemed nation will not heed such provocative attacks; it will always protect its national interests and the strength of our defense industry. No matter what anyone does, Turkey’s rise cannot be stopped, and our defense industry will continue its global successes.”
