Following the killing of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah, France issued a statement. According to information obtained by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasrallah has passed away. The Ministry emphasized that they are in communication with regional and Lebanese partners to prevent the escalation of tensions.
Since September 23, the Israeli army, which has been bombing Lebanon, had announced that Nasrallah was the main target in yesterday’s attacks. In an announcement today, the army officially confirmed Nasrallah’s death. The Israeli army also stated that Hezbollah’s southern front commander, Ali Karaki, was killed in the same strike.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, who was taken to a high-security area following the news of Nasrallah’s death, stated, “Lebanon will regret making them an invading, evil, and discredited enemy.” Khamenei also mentioned, “It is the duty of all Muslims to stand by Hezbollah with all their means and assist them against the usurping regime.”
