Sakaryaspor, one of the teams in the Trendyol 1st League, is aiming for a comeback with its new management. Club President Cumhur Genç stated, “Our goal is the Super League, and we will chase it until the end.” Facing challenges due to administrative, economic issues, and field maintenance preventing home games, Sakaryaspor struggled in the previous league season. With 1 win, 4 draws, and 1 loss in 6 matches, the Sakarya team managed to collect 7 points. Following the presidential election held on September 22, Cumhur Genç and his team are now focused on moving the club upward. Vice President Semih Çiftçi emphasized that there is a new spirit within the team, assuring supporters that the negative aspects are behind them and the focus is solely on football. Discussions with head coach Suat Kaya have taken place, and plans are in motion with an adequately staffed team. Due to field conditions, home matches are temporarily being played in different stadiums, with upcoming games planned in Ankara and Istanbul before the home crowd. Çiftçi underscored the team’s strong motivation, highlighting players like Salih Dursun and Mustafa Pektemek, expressing confidence in achieving success and aiming for the Super League with dedication and perseverance.
