During the United Nations Security Council meeting on the Palestinian issue, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Israel needs to withdraw from Gaza. Fidan emphasized the necessity of implementing the decisions of the United Nations Security Council and achieving a lasting ceasefire. He also highlighted the crucial importance of conducting prisoner exchanges and delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. Fidan pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not inclined towards such agreements, and warned that without real pressure from the international community, genocide actions by Israel will not cease. Stressing the lack of decisive measures against Israel, Fidan noted that the Council has failed to stop Israel and mentioned that Netanyahu’s extremist partners threaten regional stability for political gain.
