The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Ceyhun Bayramov, and Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, in New York. According to a statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Blinken, Bayramov, and Mirzoyan held a trilateral meeting within the scope of the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York. The statement mentioned that the parties reached an agreement to exert additional efforts to expedite the conclusion of an agreement on peace and the establishment of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Bayramov and Mirzoyan expressed their gratitude to Blinken for hosting the meeting.
