The Lebanese Health Ministry has reported that in the past day, Israeli air strikes in various regions of Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of 94 people and injuries to 168 others. According to a statement from the Health Ministry, in the city of Nabatiyeh in the south of the country, 26 people lost their lives and 42 were injured. In the South region, 14 people were reported dead and 38 were injured. Additionally, in the Bekaa region located in eastern Lebanon, 23 people were killed and 30 were wounded in the air strikes. The attacks in Baalbek al-Hirmil by Israel also claimed the lives of 25 individuals, with 14 others sustaining injuries. The Israeli military also targeted the Jabal Lubnan region from the air, resulting in 4 fatalities and 29 injuries. The Health Ministry previously disclosed that in an Israeli air strike on the Dahiye district of Beirut, 2 people were killed and 15 were injured. Amid ongoing clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, Israel has conducted hundreds of air strikes on southern cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions since September 23. Lebanese authorities report that the intensified air strikes have led to 748 deaths and displaced nearly 150,000 individuals due to the bombardment. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has responded to the ongoing heavy bombardment in the country’s south and east by Israel with missile attacks. Although these attacks primarily target military bases, no significant damage has been reported. As a wave of displacement from the southern part of the country to Beirut and the north continues, some have also fled to Syria.
