Honda has announced that it will relocate some production activities from Mexico and Canada to the United States.
Japanese automaker Honda Motor is aiming for 90% of vehicles sold in the US to be locally produced, leading to plans of shifting some car production activities from Mexico and Canada to the US.
According to a report in the Nikkei newspaper, the Japanese company aims to increase US vehicle production by up to 30% within the next two to three years to combat the customs duties imposed by the Trump administration on car imports. A Honda spokesperson could not be reached for inquiries regarding the matter.
