Here are the details… Every December, the finalized minimum wage amounts take effect as of January of the new year. The minimum wage at the beginning of this year was 22,104 TL net, and 26,005.50 TL gross, with a 30% increase. The state-funded minimum wage support was also raised from 700 to 1000 TL. Regarding the interim raise on the minimum wage, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that there are no plans at the moment, but it could be reconsidered if necessary. Moreover, there was no interim raise on the minimum wage in 2024. It was reported last year that there would be no interim increase based on the course of the inflation rate. Accordingly, from January 1, 2024 until the end of the year, the minimum wage was 20,002.5 TL gross and 17,002.12 TL net. The last interim raise on the minimum wage was in 2023. From January to July, the minimum wage was 10,008.00 TL gross and 8,506.80 TL net. However, the Minimum Wage Fixing Commission increased it by 34% to 13,414 TL gross and 11,402 TL net for the period between July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. March Inflation Figures According to the data announced by TÜİK for March, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.46% monthly, while the Domestic Producer Price Index (WPI) increased by 1.88%. Annual inflation rates were recorded as 38.1% for consumer prices and 23.5% for domestic producer prices. Consumer prices increased by 51.26% on a 12-month average basis, and domestic producer prices increased by 35.23%. The CPI showed a 2.46% increase monthly, and the WPI showed a 1.88% increase. Compared to December of the previous year, the CPI increased by 10.06% in March and 38.1% compared to the same month last year.
