In Ordu, the plentiful catch of turbot has brought smiles to both fishermen and consumers. The turbot caught by fishermen heading out to sea in the city has enriched the fish counters. Sold at prices ranging from 700 to 800 lira per kilogram depending on size, these fish attracted the attention of citizens. Tarık Arslantürk, who engages in fishing in the Perşembe district, stated that the turbot catch has increased in recent days, resulting in affordable prices due to abundant fishing. Arslantürk mentioned that during the mid-season, turbot was offered for sale at prices between 1200 and 1250 lira per kilogram, expressing satisfaction with the public’s interest in fish. Erdal Çamaş also mentioned that he prominently displays turbot at his counter, noting that both locals and visitors from other provinces show interest in the fish.
