Russia hits Sumy city in Ukraine: At least 20 dead, 83 injured

The Russian military carried out an airstrike on the city of Sumy in Ukraine. The Mayor of Sumy announced that at least 20 people have died and 83 have been injured in the attack. Russia launched air raids on Sumy, located in northeastern Ukraine close to the Russian border. According to Sumy Mayor Artem Kobzar, at least 20 people lost their lives and 83 were injured in the attack on the Ukrainian city, situated about 30 kilometers from the Russian border. The information about a significant number of casualties was confirmed by Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Presidential Office. Before the war, Sumy’s population was around 260,000.
