According to Sumy Mayor Artem Kobzar, at least 20 people lost their lives and 83 were injured in the attack on the Ukrainian city, situated about 30 kilometers from the Russian border. The information about a significant number of casualties was confirmed by Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Presidential Office. Before the war, Sumy’s population was around 260,000.
