In all cities of the occupied West Bank, Palestinians went on a general strike in solidarity with Gaza.
Today, Palestinians lowered their shutters to make their voices heard against the massacres committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
The residents of the West Bank went on a general strike in all cities, towns, and refugee camps in solidarity with Gaza and to end the genocide. The streets were silent due to the strike, with education being suspended, markets and shops closed, and transportation and official affairs halted.
Palestinian Imad Abu Shamsiya stated, “The strike is carried out to oppose Israel’s policies and the live broadcasted massacres against the Palestinian people, and to support resistance until the occupation’s plans are halted and they are pushed out of Palestinian territories.”
“Innocent People are Dying in War”
Karim El-Avivi expressed, “All Palestinians went on strike due to the ongoing killings of children, women, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip. We want the conflicts and wars in the Gaza Strip and around the world to end because innocent people are dying in wars.”
Radi Isa voiced his desire for the war to end, saying, “Hopefully, the injustice against Palestinians everywhere will come to an end. The strike is carried out to stop the killing of children in the Gaza Strip and to bring trust, peace, and freedom to Palestine.”
Palestinian groups and Hamas had called for a general strike covering all aspects of life in the occupied Palestinian territories and refugee camps. In addition to the West Bank, there was also a strike in East Jerusalem in solidarity with Gaza.
