Trump Hosts Iftar at the White House

US President Donald Trump hosted an iftar at the White House for representatives of the American Muslim community and some countries. During the first iftar of his second term, President Trump met with representatives of some Muslim countries and American Muslim leaders. Starting his speech by saying “Ramadan Mubarak,” Trump expressed his gratitude for the support he received from American Muslims in the November 2024 presidential elections. He mentioned that representatives from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon, Pakistan, and many other countries were present at the iftar. Trump also thanked hundreds of thousands of Muslim Americans who supported him in record numbers in the 2024 presidential elections, stating that it was incredible. He emphasized keeping promises to the Muslim community and continuous diplomacy in the Middle East based on the historic Abraham Accords to establish lasting peace. Specifically thanking American Muslims in Michigan, Trump assured them of his support throughout his presidency, saying, “I will be there for you. I want you to know that.” Trump expressed his thanks to his Muslim friends, looking forward to working together for a brighter and more hopeful future.
