The BIST 100 index saw 9,728 points with an increase of over 4%. The banking index gained more than 5% in value.
Analysts noted that technically, the BIST 100 index has resistance at the levels of 9,500 and 9,600, with supports at 9,400 and 9,300 points.
FLEXIBILITY IN STOCK BUYBACKS FOR BANKS
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) granted flexibility to banks in stock buyback. According to the decision, the shares banks buy back will not be deducted from their core capital.
