Ramadan Bayram coincided with the mid-term break of schools this year, increasing demand for bus tickets. Industry officials anticipate that 3.5 million people will travel by bus.

Mustafa Yıldırım, the General President of the Federation of Bus Operators, stated that the mobility in bus services will start as of March 27th due to Ramadan Bayram coinciding with the mid-term break of schools. Yıldırım said, “During the Ramadan Bayram holiday, approximately 8,500 buses will carry passengers daily. We expect around 3.5 million people to travel by buses.” Also serving as the President of the Road Passenger Transport Sector Council of TOBB, Mustafa Yıldırım provided information on bus services. Pointing out that the mid-term break for the 2024-2025 academic year coincides with Ramadan Bayram and covers a period of 9 days, Yıldırım stated, “Starting from the middle of this week, there will be a high intensity of bus services during the Ramadan Bayram holiday period. Tickets are almost sold out for regular services.

The mobility in buses, which will start on March 27th due to the Ramadan Bayram holiday, will occur on April 6-7 during the return. In case of demand from bus companies, we will apply to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure for the use of tourism vehicles to transport passengers.”
