The Israeli government has decided to establish a new unit within the Ministry of Defense to “coordinate” the forced migration of Gazans. In a written statement from the Israeli Ministry of Defense, it was announced that during a security cabinet meeting held last night, the decision to approve the establishment of a new unit focusing on the expulsion of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip under Israeli attacks was confirmed. The newly established “directorate” is said to work on coordinating the passage of Palestinians from Gaza through land, sea, and air routes. The statement mentioned that the Tel Aviv administration is working with “all its means” to implement U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians in Gaza.
TRUMP’S GAZA PLAN
U.S. President Donald Trump, during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on February 4, stated that the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip and “own it.” Trump noted that Gaza is now completely a disaster area, and it would be much better for the Palestinians there to move to newly constructed settlements in neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan. Trump also claimed that Palestinians have no other option but to leave Gaza.
