Alphabet’s $32 billion acquisition

1 Mins Read

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, will acquire cloud security company Wiz for $32 billion. Alphabet announced that it will acquire Wiz, a cloud security company, for $32 billion in cash. This acquisition will increase Alphabet’s investments in the cybersecurity field and is their largest acquisition to date. In order to gain an advantage in the competition with Google, Amazon, and Microsoft in the cloud computing sector, Alphabet will incorporate Wiz’s artificial intelligence-supported cybersecurity solutions. Companies are able to eliminate significant risks by using Wiz’s technology. It was reported that Alphabet offered about $23 billion to acquire Wiz last year, however, the deal was canceled due to concerns about antitrust issues.
