With less than two weeks until the Ramadan Holiday, millions of retirees and eligible beneficiaries are focusing on the holiday bonus payment schedule. The bill proposing the holiday bonuses to be 4,000 liras will be discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and, if approved, will come into effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. The thousand lira increase in holiday bonuses is expected to result in an additional cost of 28.4 billion to the 2025 budget. The Social Security Institution continues to work on the payment schedule. So, when will the 2025 Retirement Holiday Bonuses be paid? Here is the retirement holiday bonus payment program… Approximately 16 million eligible beneficiaries will benefit from retirement holiday bonus payments. Since this year’s Ramadan Holiday starts on March 30, those who become eligible for retirement in April will be able to benefit from the bonus. 4A, 4B, and 4C retirement bonuses are deposited on different days according to the allocation number. Last year, the Ramadan Holiday bonus payments were completed over 3 days. Particularly, those preparing to travel and shop for the holiday will follow the holiday bonus payment schedule accordingly. So, when will the SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund bonus payments start in 2025? Here is the expected date for the bonuses. To receive retirement holiday bonuses, the relevant bill must first pass through the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Once the bill proposing the 4,000 lira retirement holiday bonus is approved, it will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. It is expected that the bill proposing the retirement holiday bonus increase will be discussed and published in the Official Gazette by Friday (March 21) at the latest. Approximately 16 million eligible beneficiaries will benefit from the Ramadan Holiday retirement bonuses. Last year, as the holiday reached April, payments were completed in a total of 3 days. Retirement holiday bonus payments start with those under 4(a) SSK and receiving a pension. Last year, payments started with those with allocation numbers 17 and 18, and finally were deposited to those with 23, 24, 25, 26 numbers. Once the Turkish Grand National Assembly completes its work, the bill will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. The retirement holiday bonus payment schedule will be determined by the Social Security Institution. It is expected that holiday bonus payments will be deposited to eligible beneficiaries starting from Monday, March 24. Retirement holiday bonuses are paid twice a year before the Ramadan and Feast of Sacrifice holidays. The Feast of Sacrifice holiday will begin on June 6, 2025. There will be no additional increase in retirement holiday bonuses this year. Before June, retirees will receive a 4,000 lira holiday bonus payment.
