Housing prices in Turkey increased by 2.8% in February. However, housing prices decreased by 5.6% in real terms. The Central Bank released the housing price statistics for February. Accordingly, housing prices increased by 2.8% compared to the previous month in February. In real terms, prices declined by 5.6%. The Housing Price Index (HPI) rose by 2.8% in February compared to the previous month, reaching 170.5. The HPI, which increased by 31.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, showed a decrease of 5.6% in real terms during the same period. In February, housing prices in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir increased by 2.6%, 3.3%, and 3.8% respectively. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index values in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir recorded increases of 28.4%, 37.2%, and 32.7% respectively.
