US President Donald Trump announced that Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit the US.
Speaking at the Kennedy Center’s board meeting in Washington, DC, Trump stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit the US in the “near future.”
There has been no official statement from China on the matter yet.
During his second presidential inauguration ceremony, Trump had invited Xi, who did not attend the event in person but sent Vice President Han Zheng instead. The question of whether Xi will visit the US has been a topic of discussion for some time.
