The Competition Board has launched an inquiry into Netflix, Disney+, Exxen, BluTV, Amazon, and Gain. The Competition Board has initiated an investigation into digital platforms. Among the companies under investigation are Netflix, Disney+, Exxen, BluTV, Amazon, and Gain. In a statement from the institution, it was reported that an investigation was launched on suspicion of violating Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition regarding platforms that offer subscription-based video services for content such as movies and series. The statement mentioned that the investigation is looking into whether digital platforms violate the law through exclusive agreements with content providers such as producers and distributors, as well as talent such as actors, directors, and screenwriters, in addition to other agreements and practices restricting competition.
