2 Mins Read

President Trump of the United States announced that he has given the military the order to strike targets in Yemen. Following Trump’s announcement, the US military hit targets in the capital city of Sanaa in Yemen. Initial reports indicate that 9 people were killed and 9 others were injured in the attacks.

US President Donald Trump revealed through a statement on the social media platform Truth Social that he has instructed the US military to strike the Houthis in Yemen. Issuing warnings to the Houthis, Trump stated, “Your time is up, your attacks must cease. If they do not, a hell like you have never seen will rain down upon you.” Trump also directed his statement towards Iran, emphasizing the immediate need to end support for the Houthis. The Houthis in Yemen, on the other hand, announced that the US attacks targeted the capital city of Sanaa. It is reported that at least 9 civilians lost their lives and 9 others were injured.

HOUTHIS ATTACKED NEARLY 100 SHIPS

The United States has long been trying to prevent the Houthis from attacking ships in the region due to the conflict in Yemen. The Houthis have targeted nearly 100 ships until now.

The Biden administration targeted underground weapons depots in Yemen in October and November, but effective results did not come out of these attacks.

The Houthis had announced that they would cease their attacks due to a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Trump signed an executive order categorizing the Houthis as a terrorist organization upon taking office.
