The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that the military operation targeting pro-Assad forces in Tartus and Latakia has been completed. Huseyin Abdulghani, the spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of Defense, revealed that the military operation against remnants of the toppled regime in the coastal regions of Tartus and Latakia, where intense clashes took place in recent days, has come to an end. Abdulghani emphasized that they had neutralized the remnants and officers of the toppled regime, cleared strategically important areas, and ensured the security of the main roads used by security forces and the people. He stated, “Our forces have neutralized remnants of the toppled regime in the villages of Muhtariyye, Muzayria, and Zubara in Latakia, as well as in the villages of Dalye, Tanita, and Kadmous in Tartus.” Abdulghani expressed that the operation, initiated against predefined targets, had been successfully completed, adding, “We will continue to combat the remnants of the toppled regime, aim to eliminate any future threats, and devise new plans to prevent the reorganization of criminal cells.”
