In the city center of Aleppo, the Syrian army repelled an attack by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG. It was reported that the terrorist group suffered “losses.” The terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which maintains its presence in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyyeh in Aleppo province, took advantage of the events in Tarsus and Latakia to target Syrian army soldiers in Aleppo. Responding to the organization’s attack in the city center of Aleppo, the Syrian army prevented the terrorist act. Colonel Hasan Abdulghani, the spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of Defense, stated to the Syrian News Agency SANA that security forces repelled the attack launched by the PKK/YPG in Ashrafiyyeh neighborhood in the city center of Aleppo. The report also indicated that the terrorist organization suffered “losses.” Furthermore, according to security sources in Damascus, elements of the fallen regime entrenched in the Mezzeh 86 and Mezzeh Jebel areas carried out a grenade attack. Following the attack, there was a skirmish between the security forces in the area and the attackers using light weapons.
