Retirement bonuses, which many beneficiaries, including SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensioners, benefit from, will be subject to a new study as announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan. A new development has occurred regarding retirement bonuses. Holiday bonuses will be discussed in the parliament on Monday. The holiday bonuses were last increased by 50% to 3,000 Turkish Liras. So, when will the 2025 retirement holiday bonuses be paid, and how much will they amount to? Here are the latest developments related to bonuses… Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on March 29 this year. Holiday bonus payments made for retirees every year will be received by many beneficiaries, such as SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensioners, as well as widows, orphans receiving alimony, martyr’s families, veterans, and champion athletes. The study on retirement holiday bonuses will be discussed on Monday (March 10). An increase in bonuses to around 4,000 Turkish Liras is expected.
The amount of the increase in bonuses to be made this year has not been disclosed yet, following last year’s 50% increase that raised holiday bonuses to 3,000 Turkish Liras. Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, had announced that efforts were being made to increase the bonuses. The payment of retirement holiday bonuses had started 1 week before the holiday in the previous year. Payments before the 2025 Eid al-Fitr are expected to be made in the week of March 24-28. The bonuses will be transferred to accounts through the banks where retirees receive their salaries, according to the last digit of their allocation number.
