Apple has announced an indefinite delay in the artificial intelligence-powered Siri. Speculations have started circulating that the new Siri may be pushed back to next year. The company has faced a new artificial intelligence crisis. In a statement from Apple, it was noted that the feature of Siri understanding user information and moving between applications is more complex than anticipated. An article published by Bloomberg in February stated that engineers were unable to complete the updates on time, and the features would be delayed at least until May. Due to technical glitches and unresolved errors in the development process, the features could be postponed until 2026 instead of 2025. Apple had previously announced that the new Siri would be available in 2025. However, the recent announcement means that users will have to wait longer. The company has been working on the artificial intelligence-powered Siri under the Apple Intelligence initiative. This development has reignited debates about Apple falling behind in the artificial intelligence race. Apple claimed during the iPhone 16 launch that the device was designed from scratch for Apple Intelligence and used the new Siri in their advertisements.
