The Ministry of Commerce announced that in the last 6 months, 67 companies were fined with a total of 93 million Turkish Lira in administrative penalties as a result of e-commerce inspections.
By scrutinizing the grievances in the e-commerce market, the Ministry of Commerce imposed 93 million TL in administrative fines on a total of 67 companies.
It was noted that an investigation and inspections initiated in October and completed within the same year resulted in a total of 40.3 million TL in administrative fines imposed on 18 companies.
The statement included the following expressions:
“Furthermore, in the first three months of the year 2025 (January-March), as a result of inspections and investigations related to distance contracts that consumers are party to in the electronic commerce sector, a total of 53.4 million TL in administrative fines have been imposed on 49 companies, with inspections currently ongoing at 19 companies.”
