Ersin Vural, a traveler from Izmir who left his career behind to embark on a world tour by bicycle, has documented his memories from the countries he visited in a book. Expressing that his next goal is to explore Asian countries, Vural said, “Sometimes I face difficulties due to seasonal conditions, but I have embraced this lifestyle. I only come home in winter. Apart from that, I spend all my time on my bike.” Living in Torbalı district, the 42-year-old cyclist Ersin Vural decided to travel by leaving his career behind. With his passion for cycling, he started traveling the world from Turkey. Travelling through various countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, Ersin Vural has collected many memories on the road. The travel enthusiast has compiled his experiences in a book titled ‘Silk Road: Bicycle Diaries’ to share with his followers. Vural mentioned that he goes on tours without any sponsor support and stays in a tent he carries with him. He said, “Sometimes I face difficulties due to seasonal conditions. But I have embraced this lifestyle. I only come home in winter. Apart from that, I spend all my time on my bike. In April, I will continue my world tour from where I left off. I will start my new tour from Izmir, passing through Ağrı to Iran, and then visiting Asian countries.”
