A 4-year-old child living in the state of Wisconsin in the United States called the police, claiming that his mother ate his ice cream.
An unusual report to the emergency call center in the town of Mount Pleasant in Wisconsin caught the attention of the police. Speaking in a tearful voice on the phone, the 4-year-old child called 911, saying that his mother ate his ice cream and asked the authorities to “come and take her” because “my mom is being mean.”
The dispatcher on the phone tried to understand what was happening, but the determined voice of the child was heard once again saying, “Come and take my mom!” However, shortly after, an adult took the phone and tried to explain the situation.
The suspicious emergency call center workers took the report seriously and mobilized the police teams. When the officers arrived at the scene and listened to the child’s problem, they encountered a very different situation. The little child complained, saying “my mom ate my ice cream, so she should go to jail!” However, he quickly changed his mind and just mentioned that he wanted some ice cream. The next day, the police officers who wanted to make the little complainant happy prepared a surprise for him. Returning to the house with ice cream in hand, the officers made a sweet gesture to cheer up the child. This story shared on the Mount Pleasant Police Department’s Facebook page quickly became a topic in the U.S. media.
