The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided a credit of 240 million euros for the Nakkaş-Başakşehir project, the final section of the North Marmara Highway. The financing package, in the form of A/B, consists of a 195 million euro EBRD loan and 45 million euros syndicated to the Bank of China. This funding aims to reduce traffic congestion in Istanbul, connect industrial zones in the region to boost economic activity, and facilitate easier connections between existing roads. The total financing of 240 million euros will be allocated to Nakkaş Motorway Investment and Operation Co. for the North Marmara Highway Nakkaş-Başakşehir section project.
