The payment dates for retirement holiday bonuses awaited eagerly by retirees for the Ramadan holiday have been announced. According to the Social Security Institution (SS Institution), bonus payments will be deposited based on the allocation number. Here is the latest announcement made by the SS Institution…With 8 days to go until the 2025 Ramadan holiday, the eyes of millions of retirees are turned to the dates when the holiday bonus payments will be made. This year, retirees who will receive 4,000 lira for both Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, a total of 8,000 lira in bonus, will receive their payments before the holiday once the bonus bill passes in Parliament. So, when will the retirement holiday bonus be deposited, has it passed in Parliament?Ramadan holiday retirement bonus payments are beginning. According to the announcement made by the Social Security Institution, payments will be made based on the allocation number. Holiday bonuses will initially be deposited as 3,000 lira. Then, after the bill proposing an increase in the bonus amount passes in Parliament and is published in the Official Gazette, the payment of differences will be made. Those with allocation numbers 17, 18, 19 will receive payments on March 24, those with 20, 21, 22 will receive payments on March 25, and those with 23, 24, 25, 26 will receive payments on March 26. Those under the Bağ-Kur (4b) coverage will receive payments on March 27, and those under the Retirement Fund (4c) coverage will receive payments on March 28. The bill proposing an increase in the retirement holiday bonus from 3,000 lira to 4,000 lira was suspended amidst discussions in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. An announcement from the Social Security Institution stated that the 1,000 lira differences will be paid after the bill passes. There is no announcement regarding the date of the differences payment. In addition to 16 million retirees, widows and orphans receiving pensions, and recipients of old-age pensions, will also be eligible for the bonus. Widows and orphans receiving pensions will receive bonuses at rates of 75%, 50%, and 25%, depending on their shares. Widows and orphans receiving pensions, recipients of old-age pensions, disabled individuals, individuals receiving permanent disability income due to work accidents, relatives of martyrs, combat veterans, security volunteers, champion athletes, and civilians affected by terrorism will be eligible for the bonus. Retirement holiday bonus payments will start with those receiving income and monthly benefits under the 4(a) SSK scope. Last year, payments started with those with allocation numbers 17 and 18, and ended with those with 23, 24, 25, and 26.
