It has long been debated whether the minimum wage increase will be based on end-of-year inflation or target inflation. Some economists argue that the minimum wage increase may be over 30 percent. Among the predictions is that the private sector will have an increase rate of around 20 percent. If there is a 41.5 percent increase in accordance with the inflation target in the Medium-Term Program (OVP), it will exceed 24,000 lira. If a 17.5 percent increase is made in line with the 2025 inflation target in OVP, it will rise to 19,975 lira. With an increase in line with the Central Bank’s 38 percent target, it will reach 23,460 lira. If a 14 percent increase is made in line with the CBRT’s 2025 target, it will rise to 19,380 lira. If there is a 21 percent increase, which is the upper band for 2025, it will be 20,570 lira. If there is a 30 percent increase in the minimum wage, it will rise to 22,102 lira. With a 40 percent increase, the new minimum wage will reach 23,802. And if there is a 45 percent increase, which is the market expectation, it will be 24,650 lira.
